IMAGE OF THE MONTH (9) May 2010

We travel to Surrey UK for our latest featured photographer.

A big welcome to David Rees-Peskett.

"Initially in the darkroom I liked to experiment with different papers, chemicals and mixtures that I made from scratch to create my images. I used photographic techniques and my imagination to enhance reality and create images that stimulate interest.

Now with photoshop I can be more imaginative and produce images that once were simply impossible to recreate, once just an idea that I could only dream about.

The style of my images has always been creative, whether taking photos of landscapes or portraiture, colour or monchrome, the intention is to evoke a reaction from the viewer.

My images have evolved as photograpy has progressed and I feel the line between photography and graphic art is merging closer all the time.

As photoshop celebrates it’s 20th birthday this year I look forward to seeing how the photographic medium develops over the next 20 years. I invite you all to visit my website, have a look around and leave your comments".

A board for this image has been added to our forum and we invite our visitors and forum members to join the discussion. Constructive critique and debate, as always, will be welcomed.
