I am an amateur wildlife and travel photographer based in the UK. I started my photography with an Olympus OM-1n and a wide range of zuiko lenses when I was 17 years old mainly shooting with velvia and
kodachrome 64! After a break from photography when my daughter was born, I have spent the last five years firmly in the digital era making the transition to the Nikon system. I shoot with Nikon D300s
and D200 bodies with a range of Nikkor lenses from 12-24mm to 70 -200mm f2.8VR.
Like most nature photographers I only make minor corrections to sharpness and contrast. I am particularly interested in recording animal behaviour, normally this is through macro photography. However the chance to go to the Falkland Islands to take my first bird photographs was too good an opportunity to miss. My portfolio images were all taken on a trip to the islands in November 2009. All the photos were post-processed with Aperture 3
on a 27” IMac.
