THE GUEST GALLERY: A big Release welcome to our very first guest.
 | FROM BROOKLYN NEW YORK: GARY HELLER
"I am a self-taught photographer and find this medium to best fit my creative needs and visions. The creative spark was first kindled by my mother Eleanor, an artist. I can remember sitting by her
side as a young boy as she worked on her next painting.
Throughout the years, I spent countless hours drawing, painting, model building, designing and crafting furniture and
playing guitar in clubs. While attending New York Technical College and trade schools, my interest in the technical aspect
of things became apparent. |
Photography enables me to combine my interests and love of the technical side of the craft with my passion for creativity
and expression. My work has taken “best in show” numerous times, and I have been a featured artist at the various
N.Y galleries.
I shoot mainly with a Canon 5D. I have a Canon 17-40 4.0L lens, a Tamron 28-75 2.8, a Canon 85mm 1.8, and a Canon 70-200
2.8L IS. I also have two 580EX Speedlites and various other devices of credit card destruction . . .
I am not interested in documenting reality, but rather showing what the world looks like through my eyes and tweaked by my
imagination."
